Motorcycle & Electric Bike Exports Recovered Fast in Wuxi in Q1 Author: chinamotor - Source:CHINAMOTOR     Font size: A A A Wuxi had exported motorcycles and electric bikes 578 times altogether and made USD 33.23 million in quarter one of 2010, a rise of 22% and 20% respectively from the same period last year; this shows a sign of fast recovery since the global financial crisis last year.   Wuxi Xishan District has a couple of hundreds of motorcycle and electric bike producers; their two-wheel, three-wheel motorcycle and electric bike exports rank No.1 in Jiangsu province. Wuxi Xishan District has become an important base in China for the export processing of motorcycles and electric bikes.   The overseas demands for motorcycles and electric bikes increased in quarter one this year which was the direct cause for the economic recovery. The Wuxi Inspection & Quarantine Bureau actively reacted to the new situation and furthered improved service development and the scientific supervision level so as to meet the requirements of the 'enhancing the quality safety level and serving the steady and fast economic development.' Leaders from the Wuxi Bureau made timely visits to enterprises located in the motorcycle and electric bike industrial clusters, held enterprise symposiums, learned about enterprises' difficulties and problems, informed them with the related issues during the World Expo, led enterprises to organise delivery time and ports reasonably and helpped enterprises to complete their export tasks fast and well. The Wuxi Bureau made the first attempt to promote the classified management measures on the enterprises within the clusters; the Bureau also accelerated the inspection and custom clearance speed for their goods based on enterprises' credibility and the quality of their products; the Bureau organised regular quality supervision training classes and invited experts to organise and carry out discussions and trainings related to the development of their enterprises. The enterprises in Wuxi's motorcycle and electric bike industrial clusters mostly export to Africa, especially those North African countries including Egypt; and the Inspection authority has to work extra time to supervise the loading; the Wuxi Bureau shares the same load with the enterprises and actively gets involved in the supervision loading and delivery tasks so as to promote the joint development of the motorcycle and electric bike enterprises.   Under the situation of global economic recovery, the Wuxi Bureau also provides services at the same time of guarding quality pass for the enterprises so as to help them get out of the shadows of the emergency crisis quickly.   (Source: www.cqn.com.cn)
