The American Transport Safety Expert Delegation Investigates the Jiangmen Motorcycle Enterprises Author: chinamotor - Source:CHINAMOTOR     Font size: A A A The expert delegation sent by the OVSC of the NHTSA were accompanied by related persons from the General Administration of Quality Supervision, the Guangdong Inspection and Quarantine Bureau and the Jiangmen Inspection and Quarantine Bureau to the Jiangmen Daye Motorcycle Technology Co., Ltd for investigation and technical communication on May 5 of 2010. The delegation introduced the American Transport Department's requirements on complete vehicles' and parts' import and certification, the American Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Regulations and the latest information to the Jiangmen motorcycle exporting enterprises.   Jiangmen is one of the fast developing and most lively motorcycle R & D as well as production bases in China's 'three motorcycle regions'. As a pillar industry in Jiangmen, the motorcycle export value of the motorcycle industry has been rising at a speed of over 30% annually and the motorcycle industry has made a great contribution to the economic and social development of Jiangmen. The core competitiveness of the Jiangmen motorcycle exporting enterprises has been increasing in recent years as the constant improvement of their products' quality safety level; they made efforts to develop overseas market by attending international exhibitions and doing ordinary trade; they tried to gain the high end markets including America; due to the comprehensive reasons such as the communication and connection of technical information, the motorcycle enterprises in Jiangmen have always been facing high standard market admission technology safety regulations; there are only a few products that are popular on the American market and their market shares and popularity are low.    The Inspection and Quarantine Department specially coordinated with and organised the American experts to have technical communication with and give guidance to Jiangmen's 'motorcycle enterprises' in order to meet the importing countries' technical demands on products' quality safety, further promote the replacement and industrial upgrade of motorcycle production and quality safety guarantee technology, help Jiangmen motorcycle exports and parts successfully develop the American market and increase motorcycle exports.   (Source: the Jiangmen Daily Online Edition)
