Jiangmen Motorcycle Testing Centre Passed the 'Two in One' Accreditation Author: chinamotor - Source:CHINAMOTOR     Font size: A A A With two years of preparation, the China National Motorcycle & Fitting Testing Centre (Guangdong), which is settled in Jiangmen of Guangdong, finally passed the "Two in One Accreditation" of qualification cognisance and the laboratory accreditation owing to its complete testing abilities of all motorcycle & accessories products that listed in the national 3C product catalogue. In February of 2007, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China (AQSIQ) approved to construct the China National Motorcycle & Fitting Testing Centre (Guangdong), the goal of which is to become a national motorcycle and fitting testing centre that is up to the international level. Since the beginning of its construction, the relative departments of Guangdong Province and Jiangmen City have been giving strong support in terms of land, fund and relative policies; meanwhile, they listed the construction of the Testing Centre into the Government Work Report for two consecutive years to comprehensively promote the construction of the Centre. After two years' construction preparation, the Testing Centre has purchased the testing instruments and matching equipments; the total value of the existing instruments and equipment reached RMB 28 million; the present laboratory of the Centre occupies a total area of 4,000 square metres, and the newly established motorcycle testing field occupies an area of nearly 100,000 square meters. It is introduced that the construction of the China National Motorcycle & Fitting Testing Centre (Guangdong) in Jiangmen will greatly promote the development of motorcycle industry in Jiangmen of Guangdong Province. The Testing Centre can provide technical guarantee for the sampling quality supervision on motorcycle and accessory products; meanwhile, it can effectively help the local enterprises estimate the quality of their products with monitoring data and developing new products and technologies; the Centre can help motorcycle enterprises, maintenance and repair enterprises and distribution field decide the purchasing and marketing activities by using monitoring data. Besides these, the local enterprises will no longer have to send their products to other places to get tested, so the construction of the Testing Centre is favourable to the implementation of the standardisation work among enterprises, the improvement of production process, the R&D of new technology and product as well as the management of product quality, all of which have improved the quality of motorcycles in Jiangmen and boosted the healthy development of the Jiangmen motorcycle industry.
